Scholarship #1 - For non-NAJA members includes:

1-Year NAJA Membership Fee $195.00
Lessons 1-5 NAJA Appraisal Studies Course $795.00
1-Year FREE Instappraise.com Subscription $1,080.00
TOTAL SCHOLARSHIP VALUE $2,070.00

Candidate Requirements, Eligibility and Conditions:

  1. Attach an essay of 300 to 500 words explaining the reason why you deserve to receive the Instappraise™ Scholarship and how it will affect your professionalism and current and future career goals. No handwritten essays will be accepted. (MS Word or PDF document only)
  2. Graduate Gemologist (GG) or equivalent degree, (FGA, FGAA, FGG, FCGmA, RGA) and provide supporting documentation. (The CM designation also carries a two (2) year appraisal experience requirement.)
  3. The applicant must be a resident of North America.
  4. The applicant / recipient must complete the five (5) lessons within the stated time frame of five (5) months / 150 days following the acceptance of the scholarship.
  5. All applicants must fully complete the Instappraise™ Scholarship application to be eligible for consideration. Any misrepresentation on behalf of the applicant will result in disqualification.
  6. APPLICATION DEADLINE: Scholarship #1 applications must be submitted by December 1st, 2024
  7. Scholarship #1 winner/recipient will be announced at the yearly Tucson Conference

Scholarship #2 - For current NAJA members includes:

Lessons 6-18 NAJA Appraisal Studies Course $500.00
1-Year FREE Instappraise.com Subscription $1,080.00
TOTAL SCHOLARSHIP VALUE $1,775.00

Candidate Requirements, Eligibility and Conditions:

  1. Attach an essay of 300 to 500 words explaining the reason why you deserve to receive the Instappraise™ Scholarship and how it will affect your professionalism and current and future career goals. No handwritten essays will be accepted. (MS Word or PDF document only)
  2. Candidate must hold a Graduate Gemologist (GG) or equivalent degree (FGA, FGAA, FGG, FCGmA, RGA) and provide supporting documentation. (The CMA designation also carries a seven (7) year appraisal experience and a NAJA Accredited Gemological Laboratory requirements.)
  3. A valid/current member of NAJA in good standing.
  4. Must complete the NAJA CMA (Certified Master Appraiser) course within twelve (12) months following acceptance of the scholarship.
  5. All applicants must fully complete the Instappraise™ Scholarship application to be eligible for consideration. Any misrepresentation on behalf of the applicant will result in disqualification.
  6. Only one (1) application may be submitted per scholarship per applicant.
  7. APPLICATION DEADLINE: Scholarship #2 applications must be submitted by June 15th, 2024
  8. Scholarship #2 winner/recipient will be announced at the yearly August 2024 Conference.

Application Parameters and Disclosures:

  1. Privacy Policy All applicants’ information (other than the awardees/recipients) will be kept confidential and will not be disclosed by NAJA to any third parties. The applications will be seen only by NAJA’s Scholarship Advisory Board.
  2. Awardees & Recipients Information NAJA reserves the right to use the scholarship awardees/recipients’ name, photo and to quote applicants essay for publicity purposes. (ie: News Releases, Newsletter, etc…)
  3. No-Discrimination Policy Applicants will NOT be discriminated against because of race, creed, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, or disabilities.
  4. Transfer Policy The Instappraise™ Scholarship is not transferable and if, for any reason, the applicant cannot avail themselves of this scholarship opportunity, the second-place winner will be awarded the Instappraise™ Scholarship.
  5. Funds & Timeline The Instappraise™ Scholarship funds will be deposited directly to NAJA. If the recipients do not complete the Appraisal Studies Course in the allotted time, they may request a 60-day extension to be granted at the discretion of the NAJA Scholarship Advisory Board.
